About the Device
Overview
The sensor uses the barometer to measure temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The device is able to monitor motion and position from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. With the data gathered we can use this in an insurance claim and to make better decision when determining the best route for the shipment.
Implementation
The sensor is placed in the box on the top lid then it is powered on by a switch, then a double tap on sensor to initialize the data logging sequence. Once the trip is complete a double tap halts the process and saves the data onto an SD card. From the SD card we have a CSV file that we load to a GUI that plots the numbers to visualize the data from the trip.
